Gen Z Shops was born from a journey most people never see, and even fewer survive.
Our story begins with three young men who spent their childhoods fighting battles no kid should ever face. Growing up in environments filled with instability, they slipped in and out of the juvenile justice system, not because they were bad kids, but because life never gave them the guidance, support, or chances that others take for granted. Eventually, they were charged as adults and sent to serve time in the Miami‑Dade County Jail.
Three years behind those walls changes a person. It forces you to confront who you are, who you’ve been, and who you want to become. And when those three young men walked out of jail, they carried a promise: to never go back, to rebuild their lives, and to prove that their past would not define their future.
But the world outside wasn’t the same. Prices for clothes, shoes, and everyday essentials had skyrocketed. They needed money just to survive. They applied for jobs everywhere fast food, warehouses, retail, construction — but every door slammed shut. No matter how much they had grown, no matter how hard they tried, they were now labeled as felons. And society rarely gives second chances to people with a criminal record.
Still, they refused to give up.
With the last bit of money they had left, the three young men came together and made a bold decision: they formed an LLC. No investors. No mentors. No handouts. Just determination, grit, and a belief that they could build something better.
They spent countless nights planning, learning, and working. Rainy days, long hours, setbacks, and sacrifices became part of their routine. They saved every dollar until they finally had enough to purchase products people love — and offer them at prices real people can afford. They wanted to build a store that didn’t just sell items, but gave people access to quality without breaking their wallets.
Today, two years after their release, their success stands right in front of you.
